Insecure password hashing (MD5 / SHA-1)
MD5 and SHA-1 are cryptographic hash functions, not password hashing functions. They are orders of magnitude too fast for password storage and have pre-computed rainbow tables covering common passwords. Use bcrypt, argon2, or scrypt.
